DESCRIPTION
NOTE:
Summer Scenes will debut TOMORROW - Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.
Finger Lakes Opera is excited to announce its summer line-up of online offerings. Our inaugural episode of Artistic Director Gerard Floriano’s video podcast series (that reflects on one of his favorite historical operatic recordings) can be accessed by clicking on the link above.
From June through early August, Finger Lakes Opera will bring you performances by the Tomita Young Artists and select mainstage performers. Maestro Floriano will do this with the help of Stage Director Todd Rhoades, who is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience. As is true with all the artists working with Finger Lakes Opera this summer, Rhoades will be working remotely along with the Tomita Young Artists and mainstage performers who are currently located across the United States.
This is new terrain for Finger Lakes Opera, and we are excited to be exploring it with you – our supporters. The first offering comes via the Omni Arts Foundation. This group has put together a three concert series, the first of which airs Saturday, May 23 at 4 pm. Finger Lakes Opera is happy to cross promote this series because in each of the three concerts, singers will be featured that have ties to our company. On the 23rd, audiences will get the first glimpse of Tomita Young Artist Sydney Anderson.
Stay tuned for future concert links, announcements, video podcasts, and more!
